Regensight promotes better research culture to improve the quality of life of young people afflicted by keratoconus.
The Mario Lombardo Research Award has been established in memory of our co-founders, Marco and Giuseppe, father.
The prize is awarded annually to a young researcher involved in the study and research on keratoconus.
The minimum criteria for awarding the prize are as follows:
- Age less than 35 years
- Degree title
- Scientific publication regarding the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis or treatment of keratoconus, in the year in which the Prize is awarded.
The merit bonus is awarded for the following criteria:
- Post-graduate specialization title.
- PhD title.
- Number of publications in the year in which the Prize is awarded.
Any interested young researcher can send the curriculum vitae and the scientific publications to 4social@regensight.com by 16 October of each year.
The winner is made public on November 11th of each year.
The prize consists of a maximum amount of €2.500.
